Last time you felt grateful, you went digging through your desk for a thank-you note — only to find the scented fairy princess cards from a phase in life you’d rather keep locked in a tower.

Take writing back into your own hands at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, where aspiring paper-makers can schedule time with a resident artist to create and produce paper products. Whether you’re looking to design letterhead, study up on printmaking, or just churn out a few spare sheets, Pyramid has workshop space available for weekday rental.

Each session includes an orientation with a trained staffer who’ll set you up with the tools to unleash your inner stationer superhero. The artists can also be hired to coax your self-expression.

Just make sure you get it all down in print.
