Acting Classes for Business Professionals

When it comes to social activities, you love playing the lead role. Any little gathering is a chance for you to take top billing.
But from 9 to 5, it’s a different story.
If you’re looking to shine among the cubicles, take a cue from Acting for Business Professionals. The ten-week course meets one night a week to help at-work wallflowers bring a little color to their office personas.
Each class focuses on a different skill for thriving at work — from wowing water-cooler colleagues with better articulation to the improv that convinces the boss you need a raise.
If only you could call in the costume department for those boring gray suits.
Classes are held at the rehearsal studios of Shakespeare Theatre Company, 507 8th Street SE, between E and F Streets (202-547-5688 or shakespearetheatre.org). Next session starts March 17, 7-9 p.m.
