Spice Rack

Ginger Boutique Opens

spice it up!

The full-body frosting was laughable at best. And let’s not even mention the blindfold episode.

Past attempts to add some spice to your life have fallen a little flat.

You’ll have more success with Ginger, the new Bethesda Row boutique from Gretchen Hitchner (formerly of Periwinkle in Alexandria) that stocks clothing, jewelry, bags, and shoes.

Check out summery dresses from Yoana Baraschi, tailored jackets from Saja, and Min Young Lee’s floaty tops, not to mention items from Trovata, Hera, and Linda Loudermilk. The ever-expanding selection of accessories includes belts from Kristin Kahle, clutches by Pa-Tou-Tou, and Wendy Mink necklaces.

The airy, open space is shopper- and ecofriendly with glossy bamboo flooring, wide reclaimed wood racks, colorful murals, and fitting rooms big enough for two.

Just don’t get any ideas.

Ginger, 7114 Bethesda Lane, Bethesda (301-664-9242 or gingerstyle.com).
