Katie Stack Plastic Bag Accessories

zip it!

You’re crafty, alright. Your specialty? Making mountains out of molehills. And getting felt up.

For more tangible inspiration, look to local artist Katie Stack. She creates adorable pouches, wallets, and wristlets out of discarded plastic bags.

First inspired by a heap of junk awaiting its recycling center fate, Stack now sweet-talks friends and relatives into sending her colorful raw materials from around the country.

She uses the designs and colors of the original bags as a base and then incorporates a contrasting whale, turtle, or other storybook-worthy critter.

Use the cheery bags to hold laundry coins or wandering lipglosses. Or, you know, whatever.

We’re sure you’ll be creative.
